The Market at FortWhyte Farms is the place to buy fresh, naturally-grown, in-season produce for you and your family when you visit FortWhyte Alive. The Market is open every Tuesday in July (starting July 12), August and September from 12 noon until 6 pm.
What is The Market all about?
At FortWhyte Farms, we grow food with heart-and with our environment and community in mind. We take great care to prepare everything on offer at The Market-like fresh veggies, homemade pies and more. You’ll shop right here on the farm, meaning you get the ultimate local food experience.
What makes FortWhyte Farms different?
While there are many amazing farmers’ markets in Manitoba to visit, FortWhyte Farms is a pretty special place. First, we are an educational farm that uses sustainable agriculture as a platform to build leadership skills and provide employment training for Winnipeg’s underserved youth. Second, we are the only market in the city where you can visit naturally raised pigs, chickens, rabbits and beehives! Pretty cool, right?
